Vlogging is the video form of blogging. It enables business owners to look their current customers and potential clients in the eyes and dive into their souls to make a personal connection. Video allows people to show personality in a way that written word doesn’t.

We’ve all received text messages and emails in ALL CAPS and think the person who typed it is screaming at us. Oftentimes, that is not the intent. By speaking in your own voice and showing facial expressions on video, the person watching will see what your mood actually is. Avoid miscommunication and unwarranted anger or hurt feelings.

When a viewer hears the tone in your voice and sees what you look like, you automatically form a connection that words, text, and still images simply cannot. The person appearing on camera comes to life. Just think of the bond you form with your local news anchors. You welcome them into your home every morning and evening. They are like members of your family, although you’ve likely never met them in person.

Video also drives a lot of traffic on the internet right now. By 2022, Cisco reports that online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic.
